Internet TV has seen a rise this year with ITV and Channel4 both improving their streaming services, YouTube providing content from UK channels, BBC iPlayer updates including social sharing as well as a rise of 3rd party aggregators such as Blinkbox and Seesaw.

This year Google have made steps into the realms of internet TV with Google TV. 2011 will see the launch of a new initiative in the UK called YouView. This has significant backing from the major channels and other content providers.
