We’ve seen a number of films for free now, some good, some not so good. This was a very emotive film, it raises loads of ethical questions and tells the harrowing story of a family dealing with leukemia.

Unsurprisingly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the cinema. A very bizarre experience, I’ve never been to see a film before that is so sad and has such an impact on people. Sadly, this film also highlights the emptiness of life without God. Throughout the film I was thinking how the story would be different should the truth of Jesus’ sacrifice and our redemption have been central within the the family.

This film certainly opened my eyes to the harrowing reality of family life coping with the devastating nature of cancer. I would not recommend this film to everyone as it is really sad and deeply moving. However, it is brilliantly acted and really well directed.
